Experience an intimate evening with Australian theatre, film and television icon, Charles ‘Bud’ Tingwell, who visits The Don exclusively in Perth as part of a national tour.
In a Parkinson-style interview ‘Bud’ will answer questions, posed by actor and one-time private eye Keith Hutton, about his stage and screen career, such as behind-the-scenes stories from his time in Hollywood, London and Australia. ‘Bud’ will also discuss aspects of his personal life and chat about his experiences during World War II.
There’s a great opportunity to talk to Tingwell about his astonishing career, as the audience is invited to take part in the interview.
This amazing actor’s career has spanned several decades and included definitive Australian series such as The Flying Doctors, The Sullivans, Mother & Son, Neighbours and Changi and films like Breaker Morant, Innocence, The Dish and The Castle.
The evening also features a rare partial screening of the 1998 film, Tulip, starring Tingwell, which was written and directed by leading Australian actor Rachel Griffiths.
This special show brings together a star in the latter stages of a long career and his audience.
