Don Russell Performing Arts Centre Presents... LaLaLuna with “Shneedle” Wolfe Bowart International Act! Prepare to be spellbound by this magical meeting of theatre, circus, interactive film and riotous physical comedy, which is suspended somewhere between reality and a dream. Its playful storyline – devised and performed by US artist Wolfe Bowart – is based on the idea: What if, one evening, the light in the moon went out… and you were the one responsible for finding a replacement globe? Meet Bob, one part janitor, two parts dreamer. He is the man responsible for returning the light to the moon. During his madcap and mesmerising mission, he encounters body-engulfing balloons, tangles with a tango-dancing music stand and brings a movie screen to life. Along the way, the audience is invited to enter his world, where gravity isn’t always on its best behaviour. LaLaLuna has travelled far and wide, including visits to the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
