Sometimes it's hard to fit in, to find a close group of friends who make you feel like you're part of the 'in crowd'. Hillary is discovering what it's like to be accepted by Alison and Jane, the most popular girls in her class. But there is one person who is putting Hillary's new status in jeopardy- Sara-Kate Connolly, her off-beat neighbour. Sara-Kate is a loner. Held back a year in school, she is automatically out-of-place in her class. The poignancy of Sara-Kate's plight isjuxtaposed with those children who take it for granted that their parents cook dinner each night and provide them with new outfits and a warm house to sleep in.
This award-winning play is being directed by Linda Hartzell, Artistic Director of the acclaimed Seattle Children's Theatre.
