The first play of the Doll Trilogy by Ray Lawler, "Kidstakes" has been revised by the author and will be presented in it new definitive form. Sometimes known as the summer of the first doll, "Kidstakes" is a celebration of youth and life and love's awakening. Through its laughter and skylarking is a need for love and companionship shared over time. It is the story of two cane cutters, their women, and the choices that shape the rest of their lives.
