Winner of Best Comedy Writing, 2003 Big Laugh Comedy Festival and performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Beatification of Newt Berton and the Great Viagara Robbery returns to Sydney for two weeks as hopeless housemates Danny and One-Nut once again face imminent eviction from their house until God appears to them in their living room in the form of a crying photo of Newt Berton, AustraliaÂ’s favourite TV host. Danny realises that if they can make Newt Berton a saint, then their house will become a shrine, and the council canÂ’t knock it down.
Standing in their way, however, is a cast of colourful and bizarre characters including a break-dancing Mormon, an East German two-headed nun, a crazy Avon lady, The Pink Tickler and a time traveller from “The Future”, looking for 40,000 boxes of stolen Viagra in their spare room. So will Danny stand by as his house is demolished or will he allow Newt Berton to become a saint and subject the world to the seductive powers of the Church Of Good Morning Australia? Only you can stop him. Come to the Parramatta Riverside Theatre to end the terror.
