The UWA French Club have been putting on an annual play since 1934. These productions have become an institution in the Perth French-speaking community, as the play is traditionally performed completley in the original french. This year, the UWA French Club proudly presents Yasmina Reza's Masterpiece, Conversations apres un enterrement - or Conversations after a Burial.
In the vein of Reza's introspective works, "Conversations apres un enterrement" deals with the after effects of the death of a thoroughly unloveable man who was none the less loved by his three unmarried children. To add to the unease, there's an unexpected guest called Elisa. Until recently she lived with Daddy's less favourite son, Alex, before having a brief fling with his favoured one, Nathan. Even Daddy's ad-hoc tomb isn't exempt from the stir that this appearance creates.
