Matt Cameron's arresting new play begins like a fairytale - but ends somewhere else entirely.

In Flaming Tree Grove, life appears to be picture perfect. Security and privacy are precious virtues and seclusion its own reward. Until the day when little Ruby sets off to visit her grandmother at the end of the cul-de-sac and is never seen again.

The neighbourhood fractures into grief and suspicion in the search for answers to a terrible absence. And then a parcel arrives on her parent's doorstep...

Matt Cameron performs the theatrical magic of finding dark shadows in primary colours. This award-winning writer's plays include The Balloonman and Footprints on Water. He is also the Artistic Director of Neonheart Theatre.

Ruby Moon was written for the remarkable talents of Christen O'Leary and Peter Houghton, last seen together at Playbox in Cameron's memorable Tear From a Glass Eye. With original music and song by jazz composer Andrew McNaughton, these two actors bring to life the parade of enigmatic characters that inhabit Flaming Tree Grove.
