The playwrights Ray Cooney and Tony Hilton must have conspired to ensure that this was a play to make everyone feel good and have a great laugh by writing a pure farce which moves along at a busy pace. The action takes place in the home of a wealthy North England businessman and mill owner, who has offered ten thousand pounds to the son of a former business associate, provided that he is the only relative.
Billy Hickory-Wood arrives to collect his money but it isnÂ’t long before a procession of Hickory-Woods arrive - all claiming to be the sole relation and rightful beneficiaries, creating a seeminly endless string of mistaken identities and hilarious confusion.
Various actions take place udring the perforamcne which help to confuse and puzzle, as well as some entertaining gimmicks.
The play is directed by Fred Petersen, so it is sure to be fabulously entertaining. Book early as tickets will go fast.
