IMAGINEÂ…returning from a pleasant anniversary celebration with your oldest friends to find that your house has been burgled.

IMAGINEÂ…the burglar is still in the house and has you convinced, for a while, that he is, in fact, a policeman investigating the break-in.

IMAGINEÂ…once his true identity is known, the burglar reveals that he knows all kinds of uncomfortable truths about you, your spouse and your friendsÂ…

WELL…That burglar is none other than Spriggs, who succeeds in “Theft”, Eric Chappell’s witty comedy-thriller, in disturbing two seemingly happy marriages and one formerly strong friendship with his own brand of subversive observation. Premiered with George Cole (of ‘Minder’ fame) as Spriggs, “Theft” is a tongue-in-cheek delight, packed with stinging one-liners, daring reversals and many sharp comments on marriage, money and crime!

Award winning directors Nicola Bond and Peter Kirkwood are thrilled to be bringing this very funny play to patrons of Harbour Theatre. Featuring many experienced actors well-known in community theatre, such as Norman Heath of Bibra Lake as Spriggs, Rob Tagliaferri of Beaconsfield as the hapless Trevor, Lyn Colson of Melville as Jenny, Michael Dunbar of Innaloo as the bullying John and Shirley Toohey of Wembley Downs as the out and out snob Barbara, this promises to be a wonderful night of entertainment for everyone.

So come along and bring your friends for a fun-filled night out. Why not have a meal first in ClancyÂ’s Fish Pub next door? Just order before 6:30pm and mention you are coming to see the play to get the $13.50 ClancyÂ’s Meal Deal.
