An ancient, damaged, and resentful 'shapeshifter' - the Skriker - moves from the underworld of faerie to prey on two young single women in the late 20th century. One, Josie, has possibly killed her baby, the other, Lily, is expecting one - and the Skriker needs it. The stage is inhabited by a dangerous and damaged assembly of spirits from Celtic mythology as the Skriker - horrible, humorous, and never short of a trick - assumes different embodiments in her attempt to lure the young women into the underworld, playing off one against the other.
