Handzon Theatre Company is proud to presents its 9th season of
Lunchtime Theatre at Burt Memorial Hall
Spring into the city and join us for only $6
for a lunch of CampbellÂ’s Velish soup and New Norcia Bread
and a half-hour play Pack up Your Troubles
to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War 11.
Four West Australians are front line entertainers during the Second World War and are rehearsing for their final performance in Palestine before moving onto greater things!
Join cabaret trio Strike Three - Ann Adlem, Paul Peacock and Ian Toyne, along with Simon Holt on piano, with a medley of popular songs of the times – A Nightingale Sang In Berkeley Square, I’ll Be Seeing You & Pack Up Your Troubles.
Pack Up Your Troubles uses multi media with recordings of real life stories collected from ex servicemen and women having being interviewed for this special commemoration in this 60th anniversary year marking the end of World War 11. Handzon Theatre would like to thank the Army Museum of Western Australia for their cooperation in assisting us with this project.
Handzon Theatre Company (Fascinating Gershwin, BreastStroke, Wedding Games), is an ensemble of professional theatre practitioners committed to producing accessible, affordable community theatre in Perth. Lunchtime Theatre is supported by the City of Perth and Heathway to promote Enjoy Healthy Eating.
Pack Up Your Troubles performs twice daily with the doors opening at 12 noon & 1pm.
