AddressHayman Theatre, Curtin University of Technology, Kent Street BENTLEY
Kenneth GrahameÂ’s classic tale of the riverbank, THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS, has been enchanting us for almost a hundred years. Characters such as the wily Water Rat, the lovable Mole, the gruff old Badger and of course the exuberant and reprehensible Mr Toad have won the hearts of children and adults the world over.
Now all these old friends – and of course, the Stoats, Weasels and Wicked Wildwooders - come to the stage of Curtin's Hayman Theatre, in a brand new adaptation by Tony Nicholls. With an especially commissioned new musical score by Richard John and a fast-paced narrative THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS will be a wonderful mid-winter treat for grand-parents, parents and children of all ages.
Over the last twenty years the Hayman Theatre Company has built an enviable reputation for presenting high quality intelligent family theatre both through its annual pantomimes and its seasons of established classics such as JUST SO!, THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE and WINNIE THE POOH.
