Set in the First World War, Journey's End concerns the lives of a group of British officers on the front line and opens in a dugout in the French trenches. Raleigh, a new eighteen year old officer fresh out of English public school, joins the beseiged company of his friend and cricketing hero, Stanhope, and finds him dramatically changed. Stanhope has to prepare for the German advance that his men will have to face during their duty at the front line. In turn, his officers have to deal with Stanhope's drinking problem.

As Clive Barnes said "Its unrelenting tension and its regard for human decency in a vast world of human waste are impressive and, even now, moving".

This is Nik Pinks' directing debut. He is a member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and has toured with them twice; once to the Edinburgh Festival and the second time touring Liverpool, Durham and London's West End. He is in Perth for a year working at Christ Church Grammar School's Drama Department.

Starring Mark Desebrock, Kurt Norvilas and Sam Devenport.
