"Who Needs Creative Friends?" is a new play about young people and their determination to contribute to the world creatively and intellectually.
Hugh has severe writerÂ’s block, so his three friends attempt to inspire him by sharing their experiences and acting out a variety of amusing stories.
Over one night they discuss their thoughts on the importance of creativity while learning to appreciate the stories that have shaped their lives.
In search of a means of original expression, they encounter the conflict between work and friendship and the difficulties of living in a society where the importance of art is constantly questioned.
"Who Needs Creative Friends?" is presented by Autonomous Productions as part of the 2002 Festival of Fremantle.
