"Last of the Red Hot Lovers", Harbour Theatre's 150th Full Length Production was written by America's most successful living playwright Neil Simon and directed by Stan Brannick. This classic comedy is set in New York in the late sixties.
Barney, a happily married owner of a fish restaurant, suddenly gets the urge to have "a little on the side". He borrows his mother's apartment while she is out doing voluntary work at the Mount Sinai Hospital and on three separate occasions he invites a different woman to the apartment. As any 'lover' of Neil Simon knows, hilarious situations and conversations follow.
"Last of the Red Hot Lovers" features a local and talented cast that have all been seen on Harbour's stage before. Headed by Fred Lawson (Rockingham) who plays Barney, and assisted by Jo Sterkenburg (Beaconsfield) who plays Elaine, Angela Johnson (Leeming) who plays Bobbi, and Rosemary Longhurst (Ardross) who plays Jeanette.
LATE NEWS:
In light of the recent tragic events in Bali, all proceeds from door sales from the opening night performance of "Last of the Red Hot Lovers" (Friday 15th November) will be donated to the victims of Bali.
