Our August production is a Irish/Australian play by Newcastle (NSW) born playwright John O'Donoghue
Set in Newcastle in 1942 just before the fall of Singapore, the scene is a family party to farewll the eldest son of the house 12 year old Christy on the eve of his departure to study for the priesthood
This play gives a portrait of the Irish Australian heritage of romanticism, ebullient humour,passion, vulnerability & guilt.
We are proud to present this play by special arrangement with the author.
