AN ORIGINAL PLAY FOR KIDS
Amaranthus is a wise and kindly wizard. His nieces, identical twins Polypody and Pompom, are learning magic....
The mischievous twins try to outdo each other and accidentally bring to life the paintings and statues in AmaranthusÂ’ art gallery, the Museum of Magical Art (MOMA).
The masterpieces run away and the twins decide they must get them back to the gallery and turn them into art works again before their uncle finds out......but the naughty fairy Calisaya keeps interfering with their plans.
The masterpieces meanwhile discover sunshine, sand, waves, mountain streams and breezes.....
Will the twins manage to get them back in time?
Will the masterpieces want to go back to their frames and pedestals?
Follow the madcap antics of the muddled masterpieces as the twins try to gather them together, while Calisaya ungathers them.
Amaranthus, sometimes aided by his assistant Murry, who is under a hilarious mystery spell, tries to guide their path in secret.
This is the 5th play written by Celia Meehan and Shirley Sydenham, one of which, ‘Surprising Old King Cole’, has been published by Bushfire Press and is frequently performed by schools.
Featuring: Celia Meehan, Laura Roso, Carmel Hyland, Lara Coolledge, Michelle Peake, Daniella Friedman, Celeste Rowe, Liz Gomes, Robert Sinclair, Tegan Fraser-Squires, Dana McMillan, Amy Hava, Gary Smith, Audrey Sepsakos, Mark Collard, Debbie Equid, Louise Vercoe, Sharon Moodie, Amy Clarke, Will Neal
