To inherit a fortune, Aubrey Allington, a charming but unsuccessful inventor, has to die and resurrect himself as his allegedly deseased cousin, George Maitland. Nothing is that simple. The complications pile up to the horror of those concerned and to the great enjoyment of the audiences.
