A rebellious daughter and her brothers reluctantly return to their parents' estate in country Victoria for a family reunion. Their father, a powerful politician and one of the richest men in Australia, believes in the survival of the fittest and a leaner, harder and more austere nation. His wife and children fight passionately for their own beliefs.
