Friday 19th October - Grant Windsor Trio featuring Grant Windsor piano, Paul Pooley bass, Ben Vanderwal drums with special guest Freddie Grigson guitar
Following his recent superb performance at DS@the MAJ with his band 'K', appearing at the Wangaratta International Jazz Festival at the beginning of November, Grant makes a very welcome return, this time with his own trio. Over the next few weeks, Grant will be inviting his own special guests, making each performance a unique occasion. Grant is recognised as one of WA's top piano players, he is a key member of one of Perth's most popular bands Hip Mo' Toast and was recently awarded the highly contested APRA Professional Development Award in the jazz category. Tonight he appears with top WA guitarist, Freddie Grigson, who performed earlier this year at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival with his band BlueZone. Freddie is a highly respected member of the jazz community, and lectures in jazz guitar at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
