Hi, I really want to become an actress. I am 13 years old and I went to drama school for 5 months when I was 9 but that didn't do anything because we was just watching video's. I would love to become an actress as it is my dream and I have ALWAYS wanted to be an actress. I want to be as famous as Keira Knightley and other people like her. I would like to be an actress now and not when I am older because I would love to be a young actress, but if I got offered a job when I was older I would take it. I live in Leeds/West Yorkshire/Wortley and this is my dream job. I admit I aren't very expericenced, but I am quite good and even the smallest part in a movie, whether I said one line or loads I would still love it, so if you EVER hear anything or have an acting jobs in Leeds PLEASE contact me and let me know because this is my dream and you don't know how much I want this. i love it, hate it, care for it, couldn't care less for it, need it, abuse it, create it, destroy it. I am not a person that is going to say i will 100% dedicate myself to whatever job you give me as long as it is acting, as its obvious that i will, everyone will who loves acting as much as i do, you do, and the actors/actresses that have made it do. However, i will say that my opening line in this message, is true to every actor, in fact every person in every job in the world... You will have bad days at work, even if you are doing the "JOB YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO" there will be times when you are so happy you don't know what to do with yourself, and times when you will want to quit, right there and then in a middle of a scene, because you're so tired, or its not what you thought it would be, etc, etc, however, if you never get the chance to try it, to indulge in it, to love what you do everyday, then what is the point in life??? I don't just want to be an actor... i need to be an actor. If i can't act, then yes i will carry on in life, going from job to job, because im not doing what i enjoy, what i love, im just making my way in life if i can like billions of other people in this world... but we can all do what we want, we just have to try, push harder, keep going. When you're a child and you're asked what you want to be, and you say "ooooh i want to be a vet!" i bet this person actually becomes a shop keeper, or a window cleaner, a chairman in animal testing, which there is nothing at all wrong with that, but they wanted to be a vet, when they were a child and didn't let other people opinions get in their way, or other people thoughts clog their minds up with different images. Basically what im saying is, I LOVE ACTING, and if someone will give me a chance to do it, whether its on a T.V show, in a theatre, an advert, i will do it, not because, i have been butchered into doing it from my dad, or my teachers have told me to do it, or i have been talked out of doing something else because "its too hard and most people fail", but because i want to do it, ever since i can remember thinking, watching an actor/actress perform... ever since i decided that i wasnt going to not do someting because someone else thought it was stupid, or pointless, or that it was never going to happen. I AM GOING TO BECOME AN ACTOR, im just asking for the chance now, rather than waiting 20 years to realise that i can't keep doing other things to block out the fact acting is what i love.

I really need to pay off a car and i need a job and when i saw this i thought this is a good way to get some money, a week later i tryed out for our school play and i was handed the biggest part in the play. i loved it and had a blast, and they want me back :) after that i figured wow, this might actually be for me whether or not i should get paid or not... so now i await a email. I did one year of drama with my school and a further year with an agency known as polkadotts where I learnt how to act in front of the camera and how to model. It's great to see that you are so keen to "werk" and that you stayed up until after midnight to post your request, but sadly I doubt if you would be able to understand any script given to you to read. Scripts are not usually written in mobile phone shorthand, but then again, maybe you have discovered a new genre of theatre. I have no wish to sound like one of your (obviously ignored) teachers, but I really feel that you should spend less time on the computer late at night and more time concentrating on your English homework.
It might assist you to fill in the forms required to join a theatre group in a way that a Director would be able to read.

i want to be an actress, i go to youth theatre and chior at school. I like youth theatre the most because you can do games, script plays and have fun. I used to play games with my next door neighbour, like witch and wizards (somthing like that).

I wanted to be an actress since i was 10 years old. I would love to dress up in one of them old fashion dress (old days). I don't like proforming at threatres but i don't mind telly (television). I can dance not like cha cha cha, waltz and fox trot.

Wow! That is the same with me! I looked into getting an agent when I was 11. But then I moved over seas. I looked into it again recently and it is so expensive! I love acting and I have done speech and drama since I was in grade 3. I've been told Im talented. But, i dunno. Sometimes when I watch movies or the behind the scene bits, I cry. I've heard your name before, so I was wondering if you could give me some advice.
I have done some stage acting for speech and drama aswell as Drama exams for AMEB. But, I am not interested in stage drama. I would like to get involved in Screen. I've looked for agents and they are very expensive. They wont give you a chance unless you pay hundreds of dollars for screen tests and modelling courses. Im sorry but Why should I take a course in screen acting when they havent even seen me act? I might not need them.

So, I was wondering if you had any advice on auditions. I don't want to be in film festival films though, mainly because they are very short and dont interest me.

Alternatively, not an audition, but if you are between 16 and 19 , then you can always enter "Storm the Stage" next year. It will be a national competition and there are great cash prizes and the opportunity to audition for "Home and Away" and "Neighbours'.
