Strong Male Leads

Is it just me? A friend and I were discussing plays that we had seen in Perth this year and we struggled to come up with strong male leads. Granted, I have to be honest I haven't seen alot of theatre this year, but that of which I have seen has really lacked in this area. Could it be that I have just been blinded of the talent out there or is it a genuine lack of talent? I would be interested in hearing peoples responses out there...
