Theatrical Wish List
Thursday 30 July 2009
I am sure I am not the only one here that has in their minds or hearts a show or a part that they have always wanted to do or are really keen to do sometime, yet the opportunity never arises or has passed us by.
So here I was, at work, trying to distract myself from ... work, and was thinking about the regular about those shows I have and started categorising them into groups - done to death, done a lot but still good, and not done much.
I've have never really sat down and compiled a wish list like this before. It has always been idle thoughts.
Parts I would LOVE to play;
- Hamlet, from Hamlet but I am rapidly running out of time for that part
- Crichton, from the Admirable Crichton - which I'll be directing instead...
- Algernon, The Importance of being Earnest
- Marius, Les Miserable
- Fagin, Oliver! and I'll have to wait a bit longer...
Plays I would like to direct;
- 16 Words for Water, by Billy Marshall Stoneking
- The Hotel in Amsterdam, by John Osborne
- Woman in Mind, Alan Ayckborne
- Bedroom Farce, Alan Aybourne
- The Comedians, Trevor Griffiths
- Something Shakespeare
If you are reading this, let me ask you a question. What is your wish list(s)?
