Why am I here?

A very nice lady said I should explain why I'm in Atlanta Georgia posting on an Australian theater board. Easy. Well, no. Yes.... gee.... maybe it's not all that easy. Let's start at the beginning; last year I was in Perth to visit friends..... actually the beginning would be my first day of school when I saw a world globe and saw and heard about Australia. I was fascinated from the first moment. I'd always wanted to come there. I wanted to see this land called Oz 'down under yonder' as my granny said. After my visit last year I told my friends that I'd be back and I want to keep that promise to them and to myself. I want to come back. I'm a playwright and a good one. My plays have been done all over the US. They have toured from Florida to California. I have had many productions, I have been nominated for lots of awards (including the Pulitzer)and even won a few (NOT the Pulitzer). Audiences and reviewers love my shows but I've yet to hit 'the big time'. I'm the most famous playwright you've ever not heard of! But here's the thing- I'm a playwright and I'd like to have my shows produced there. I have musicals, "Tallulah and Hattie: Dead at the Pearly Gate Cafe!" and I'm working on one titled "Copperhill". I have comedies. to name 2, "Second Samuel" and "A Higher Place in Heaven", but I write Southern comedies- so you'll laugh AND cry! I have a one woman show, "Dreams of Martha Stewart" One actor - ten people! I have a film script. I can't tell you the name, it's being considered so keep your fingers crossed! The best I have to offer is my plays and I can promise a good show. What more can I say- you had me at 'G'day'. More later.
