Absent Friends

I was planning to have a rest after Doctor In The House was all over. It was all going to plan. I popped into the theatre to refocus the lights last Wednesday night for Absent Friends, as tech rehearsal was to be held Sunday. Yep.....no problems there. Just a wash and a couple of specials to hang. Couple of hours work. I stayed and watched the Act I rehearsal. Looking pretty good. Thursday. My phone rings. One of the actors has pulled out. Can I step in? A week 'til opening night. Yes, I can step in, but a week? We decide to cancel opening week, and run a seven night season over two weeks. An extra rehearsal is called for Saturday, so I can get the blocking down. So here we are, 4 rehearsals in. It's script down tommorrow at tech rehearsal. Preview for front-of-house helpers on Tuesday, and we open on Thursday. I should get back to the script, I guess. Bookings can be made on 93304565
