CAFE LATTE - World Premiere Opening!

captivationmusicals

Friday 17 April 2009

From the mind of award winning composer Drew Lane (Marking Life, The Impossible Princess, Atlantis) comes “Café Latte” – a wickedly irreverent black musical comedy – in its first ever season, playing from May 28 to June 6, 2009. Set in a café somewhere in Melbourne, “Café Latte” tells the stories of the owner and his employees over one night. There’s Dave, the owner of the cafe and a gambling addict; Kelly, the gay guy who will chat up anything with three legs; Melinda, the bi-sexual tramp who has a very innocent little secret; Joanne, a struggling mother with another on the way, who quietly has the hots for the boss; Samantha, a high school drop out who has been sleeping around with one of the other employee's partner; and John, the wanna-be Jimi Hendrix who keeps setting fire to the local RSL stage... All work at the same Cafe, and in one night, their lives will be changed forever. This is place where anything goes, nothing is sacred, and the politically incorrect is normal! Tickets are now onsale for this World Premiere! Shows: May 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 @ 8pm and May 24 at 2pm Tix: $18/$15 At: St. Peter's Hall, Albert Street, Mornington. Book now by calling: 5977 0347 See you there!
