Phoenix Ignited and Rising

Thanks to the munificence of the WA Government and the City of Cockburn, the old Memorial Hall at Hamilton Hill is about to be transformed into 'Phoenix Theatre', a state-of-the-art performance space, within 5 minutes of Fremantle and with acres of parking on a major bus route. We also have a new management committee and some big plans for the coming year. As Phoenix has been largely 'in recess' for the past 2 years, it is going to take some time to re-establish a full production schedule ourselves. In order to get the local audiences accustomed to quality theatrical entertainment in the interim, we have entered into discussion with several 'homeless' theatre companies with a view to them mounting their productions in our venue, using our equipment and perhaps production personnel. This is looking very promising so far.
