Theatre Work Experience/Internship

Hello, I am looking to do some work experience in the Melbourne area around May to September 2009. I am wanting to work in a theatre management or marketing role. I am currently undertaking a degree at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh in Performing Arts Management, and as a student wanting to work in the arts, it is import for me to gain understanding and experience within a working theatre environment. Through the practical activity that I am undertaking as part of my degree, I am developing skills in the following areas: · Database management · Customer care philosophy · Box Office and FOH management · Good management practice · Audience development · Personnel management · Marketing planning and implementation · Budgetary and financial control I am extremely keen to work in Australia, as I want to see how the theatre environment differs compared to the UK.
