what vca and nida look for.

i was just wondering whether past students or teachers of these institutions may have some usefull information on the audition process. i understand the fact that nida and vca both train their students vastly different. in reference to both centre's, do they prefer legitimate naturalistic acting or do they like too see actors expanding their use of a character's build (ie voice, movement, etc).
