Errol Needs Girls Too

Tomorrow night (01/05/08) is audition night for 'Errol Flynn's Great Big Adventure Book for Boys' at Harbour Theatre in Fremantle. I have had a few phone calls, mainly from blokes, but I am hoping for quite a few girls to turn up as well. After all, how many Errols do you need and what would he have done without women? (Rhetorical question, folks). Among the exciting female characters portrayed in this play are Lili Damita, Hedda Hopper and Liz Taylor as well as a range of Errol's wives and lovers. Then there is the female lead role of Lois Tudor, Flynn's biographer - a certain 'Finley' winner for some lucky lass. Seriously though, this show will be lots of fun, in both the performances and the getting there. It has some fairly loosely arranged musical numbers, lots of gags and is really more like a cabaret than a straight play. It takes me back to my uni revue days, in more ways than one. See you there?
