The World of the over indulgent director

I'd forgotten just how much before hand work goes into a show when directing. I think because of the fact that I'd left that area for a while and went into the wonderful world of acting, that... well it's easy to forget! We've had the rights to Oliver since last July... a year or so before rehearsals were even due to start! And low and behold we're still doing the prep work on it... I guess a directors job is never done. Only 5 months left until auditions now... 5 months and closing in fast!! Is it normal for a director to go insane before the show even starts? LOL!
