BOY GIRL WALL ON THIS WEEK AT ZENITH THEATRE CHATSWOOD
Monday 13 August 2012
Critics and audiences have been raving about boy girl wall since it first hit the stage in 2009. After several sell out seasons in Brisbane and Adelaide boy girl wall is currently close to booking out its three week season at Melbourne Theatre Company before embarking on a national tour.
Performing in 26 venues over 14 weeks boy girl wall is a show that will continue to delight audiences across the entire country. This little comedy with the biggest heart has a cast of 25 performed by one man, a stick of chalk and a sock puppet!
This is not a love story, it’s a story about love…and physics…and evolution …and mad magpies…and the stars.
Two neighbours Thom and Alethea are both lonely and independently struggling to stop their lives from crumbling. The only thing physically standing between this young couple is the wall between their apartments and luckily for them this ‘wall’ has decided that they belong together.
boy girl wall, performed by Lucas Stibbard, Helpmann Award nominee in 2011, is the latest comedy from the award-winning group The Escapists. Jumping energetically, from first to third person Stibbard and his sock puppet switch between dozens of loveable and familiar characters with impeccable timing.
This clever show will warm your heart and leave you with memories for days. You may have to go back and see it again to check you did not miss anything the first time. Hold on tight - this will be a night where the pace is fast and the sides are in danger of splitting.
“There are a million magical moments… You must see this show…” ArtsHub
