Inspired by events from Writer/Director Wayne Thallon’s childhood, ‘A Spanking in Paradise’ is a dark comedy focusing on a never-before-seen aspect of Edinburgh. The film celebrates a life which, though true, has yet to be acknowledged in any brochure printed about Edinburgh; namely its twenty-odd legal and licensed brothels. ‘A Spanking in Paradise’ sold out within hours of the tickets going on sale at its Edinburgh International Film Festival Premier where it won two Trailblazer Awards and made ‘the Best of the Fest’ as the closing Film.
