TWISTED VAUDEVILLE CIRCUS DINNER CABARET
Monday 2 April 2012
DINING out in Perth will never be quite the same once you have experienced a Dinner Cabaret show
in the Twisted Vaudeville Circus style.
You can expect full-blown cabaret entertainment whilst you dine. Acts include a contortionist who twists and coils languidly and a fire eater who inflames imagination; a magician playing mind games and a burlesque dancer showing her cheeky side.
Each retro-style cabaret night at Rigby’s Bar on Friday nights offers something different so there is always an element of surprise.
Specialising in the “surprising and casual”, the cabaret dinners showcase a “weird and wonderful” range of performers over eight acts, creating a sense that the show is happening all around the
audience.
Director Kelly Cook says the point of difference between this and regular dinner theatre is that by including breaks between stage acts, friends have time to catch up in between bursts of laughter prompted by roaming entertainers.
A ‘typical’ show includes burlesque artists Modesty Envy and Vivien Marlowe, magician John Madd,
drag queens Panache and Dee Luxe, contortionist quartet Twisted Sisters, snake handler Chelsea
Buns, a bit of boy-lesque and plenty of comedy.
“And the odd surprise every now and then,” Cook said.
A cabaret ticket at Rigby’s Bar costs just $25. Add in $7 daiquiris and $8 cocktails, delicious tapas and dinner menus at affordable prices and you have the ingredients for a feast of the senses.
Rigby's also offer a $50 show and 3-course meal special you can purchase through mosh and or over phone.
