Auditions for Theft

Audition Notice Theft – a play by Eric Chappell To be Directed by Jane Sherwood Saturday 14th April 2012 at Stirling Theatre, Morris Place, Innaloo 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. The season will run from July 13 – July 28 John and Barbara Miles and their friends Trevor and Jenny Farrington return home from a night out to discover the house has been burgled. They then discover that the thief is still in the house! This is a drama with a touch of comedy and plenty of twists! John Miles Late 40s self made man from a tough background, confident, perhaps a bit arrogant. Barbara Miles Older than Jenny, long suffering wife of John. Drinks to cover what is really happening in her marriage Trevor Farrington Late 40’s Long time friend of John, passive and supportive of his friend. Or is he??? Jenny Farrington Attractive wife of Trevor, youngest of the group. Has many secrets! Spriggs 50’s, worldly-wise criminal These are stage ages only and it is more important the two couples work together. Spriggs may be younger but needs to have the air of experience about him. Rehearsals will probably be Monday and Thursday with Sundays later, however this will depend on the convenience of the cast. Auditionees should prepare a short 2-3 minute monologue and be prepared to read from the play.
