MALE WANTED FOR MUSICAL!!

To join all the others calling for males at the moment Kelete Theatre Company's production is in desparate need of a man to play the role of Eric 'Rubber Legs' DeVine for our upcoming production of Slice of Saturday Night. Character description and contact details are below.

Set in the Swinging Sixties, seven teenagers dance and eye each other and flirt on a Saturday nigh at the popular Club a Go-Go in a town in the British provinces.

Sue is going with Gary, but he flirts with Penny and the other girls at every opportunity. Sharon and Rick like each other but are too shy to say so. Eddie is challenged by the boys to persuade 'Frigid Bridget' to touch his whatsit by closing time, and club owner, ageing rocker Eric 'Rubber Legs' DeVine, watches and lends an ear to the young people as they navigate the rituals of teenage fashion, music, sexual moves and relationships.

As Eric says "Who'd be seventeen?"

Rehearsals are held in Victoria Park for solo work and Yokine for group rehearsals, performances are June 9,10,16 & 17 2012 at Ya Yas Bar in Northbridge.
