THE SEARCH FOR MELBOURNE’S MOST ELITE YOUNG THEATRE PERFORMERS, MUSICIANS & TECHNICAL PRODUCTION TEAM! Stage Masters, an Australian production company seeks talented music theatre performers, musicians (12 – 16 years), and a technical production team (14 – 18 years) to develop and star in a workshop production of the Broadway smash hit, ‘13 – A New Musical’. ‘13’ is a grown-up story about growing up, with an unforgettable rock score by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown. ‘13’ is a hilarious, high-energy musical for all ages about discovering that cool is, where you find it, and sometimes where you least expect it. During the July school holidays, the selected young artists will gain hands on experience with industry professionals as they develop a full-scale performance of ‘13’ from the ground up. Each artist will receive over 140 hours of quality training in their selected fields; song, dance, drama, music, lighting, set design & construction, costuming, audio, painting, stage management and more. BOOK AN AUDITION - Monday 13th June, Tuesday 14th June, Wednesday 15th June. Stage Masters invites interested applicants to book for an audition. Performers: Boys & Girls, 12 – 16 years. Singers, dancers, actors. Performers with any additional skills (circus skills, skateboarding etc) are encouraged to notify the audition panel on the day. Musicians: Boys & Girls, 12 – 16 years. Keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, percussion (drums). Musicians should have an equivalent standard to that of AMEB Grade 4. Technical production team: Creative boys & girls interested in working behind the scenes - lighting, audio, painting, design, costuming, stage management. No technical experience is necessary but a passion to learn, and an interest in working behind the scenes is a must. 14 – 18 years.
