musical theatre, bite me, lol..............

Sorry for that, but I just wanted your attention. For the last 2 years I have been shopping my rock opera “Bad Dream” to various Amateur and Professional production companies and I don’t seem to be getting anywhere, most don’t even reply to their email or mail. I have had some wonderful support and interesting chats. A year ago a smooth talking producer (I won’t mention him by name) talked the talk, walked the walk, blew a lot of soothing smoke and then just vanished with out so much as a kiss my theatrical derrière. We were preparing to do a work shop of the project at the time. I think he was abducted by Martians as he has not been able to be contacted since. I hope the Alien probing hasn’t been too rough, but then I hope it hasn’t been too gentle either! It has been an interesting ride thus far and I am sure the ride will only get more interesting as time goes on; I have always loved roller coasters. The show itself is a tale of love gone bad, simple and to the point. It is dark and a little manic. It has some wonderful soft musical moments as well as some boisterous rock n roll fun. It is an original Australian composition (written by me) inspired by the music of one of Australia’s finest rock n roll bands and to which the show is scored. All the show needs is a producer or production team to take it to the stage, otherwise every thing is negotiable. Yes, I will admit I am little jaded after the events of Captain Sparkle Pant’s smoke trick last year but this isn’t over by any stretch of the imagination. I am stepping back to work on other projects for a little while.
