subtlenuance is an Sydney based independent theatre company. Our first production of 2011 is the latest play by critically acclaimed writer/director Paul Gilchrist. · “it doesn't get a whole lot better than written, and directed, by Paul Gilchrist” Australian Stage Online · “a significant achievement in writing, direction and staging, and Paul Gilchrist is obviously a playwright worth watching.” Media Culture · “So cleverly interweaved with perceptive questioning is his writing that you begin to feel as though Gilchrist's understanding of the human psyche is on a different more-in-tuned level” The Blurb Paul’s latest play, "Toy Box", is a tragi-comedy that explores the tensions within a contemporary family. "Toy Box" is a five hander and will be produced at TAP Gallery, Darlinghurst, from 5/4/11 to 17/4/11. Actors will be paid a share of the profits. Auditions will be held on 29/1/11 at a venue to be advised.
