The Actors College of Theatre and Television (ACTT) is holding ‘Late Round’ auditions for the Professional Actor Program (Diploma - Advanced Diploma - BA Degree) during the week from 6 January to 13 January, beside Central Station with easy access from the entire Sydney region. Aspiring actors with talent, determination to succeed and well-prepared monologues are encouraged to contact ACTT to attend an audition before the 2011 auditions are finished on 13 January.

Applicants can download guidelines from the ACTT website or if they have already prepared Audition Pieces for other major colleges they can re-use them at ACTT. All auditionees receive individual feedback and advice from senior Directors to help them in their prospective career.

The Professional Actor Program Alumni include Firass Dirani (Underbelly:The Golden Mile), Matthew Holmes (Sea Patrol), Socratis Otto (Wolverine, The matrix Reloaded) and stage. After three years, students will be awarded the Advanced Diploma of Arts in Stage and Screen Acting and have an option to continue studies for an additional year at the University of New England, to attain a Bachelor of Arts (BA) Degree in Stage and Screen Acting.

“I chose ACTT because it has a good three year program which covers stage and screen as well as important aspects of acting such as voice and singing. The Morris acting approach is perfectly balanced by the Meyerhold movement classes” - Chloe Schwank (ACTT Graduate and Professional Actor)

This radical program structure immerses students in the Morris System of studio-based training, with extensive Instrument Preparation and Performance Practice followed by public Theatre performances and a TV & Film Industry show reel (with shooting On Location and in the Edit Suite). Graduates of this course will get unrivalled access to agents, directors, producers and other industry insiders. Students completing this course will have gained the skills, contacts and opportunities they need to gain representation and sustain themselves throughout a long and rewarding acting career.

“The ACTT System transforms people into highly-proficient, physically capable and emotionally confident actors. Students come here searching for the key to unlock their own creativity and leave with a powerful ability to act with passion across Film, Television and Theatre.” - John O’Hare (Head of Studies, ACTT)
