Nelio Sam – Theatremaker/Actor/Film and Photography Artist Nelio Sam Official Website: http://www.freewebs.com/neliosam/index.htm Nelio was born in 1984, Dili, East Timor. His passions lie deeply in the heart of performance, film making and landscape/portrait photography. In 2006, Nelio graduated from University of Western Sydney (Theatre Nepean) in a Bachelor of Performance, Theory and Practice (Theatremaking) and also trained in the IMPACT 2004 Acting Scholarship Ensemble with PACT Youth Theatre. Nelio has been participating with ATYP (Australian Theatre for Young People), PACT Youth Theatre, PYT (Powerhouse Youth Theatre) and Citymoon. His performance credits consist of a variety of major theatre productions from ATYP and PYT This Territory (2007), H is for Hoodie (ATYP, 2006), Boy Overboard (ATYP, 2006 Adelaide Fringe Festival Tour), PACT Youth Theatre’s Suspect (2004), PYT’s Cabramatta Story (2004 and 2003 New South Wales Tour), PYT and Citymoon’s Heartland (2002) and Theatre for Living (PYT, 2000). Nelio also expands his performance experience through working in short films such as Rhetta (2006), Corporate (CBA) Training Videos and international/national television commercials such as; Subway (AUS/NZ/USA, 2006) and Skittles (EUR/CAN, 2003). Nelio finds joy in making documentaries and capturing unique journeys from diverse communities. Nelio is currently collaborating with PYT and Campbelltown Arts Centre as a Drama Tutor.
