Save PICA's Performance Space - Online Petition

ONLINE PETITION to save PICAs performance venue: The Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts recently announced its decision to suspend shows in its 105-seat venue for at least two years because of funding constraints. Options are now extremely limited for local and touring performance makers to showcase their work. With your help we would like to send a loud message from the sector that this decision needs to be seriously reconsidered for the sake of the cultural vibrancy of Perth. This petition will aim to collect a breadth of voices from artists, art and cultural workers, audiences and anyone who cares about the capacity for art to transform our experience of the everyday. In this petition we are united in the desire to see picas performance program continue. Upon reaching our target, the petition will be delivered to: PICA, the Department of Culture and the Arts, Australia Council for the Arts and the Honourable Minister for Arts, Culture and Planning John Day.
