Statement from Perth Theatre Company

State Theatre Centre
of Western Australia

As you may be aware Perth Theatre Company will be moving into the new State Theatre of Western Australia this year. Construction works on site are progressing as planned and the venue is scheduled to be launched in December.

Inside the venue's Studio Underground - Rehearsal Rooms 1 and 2 are almost complete with the installation of mirrors, acoustic doors, flooring and other finishings. Cladding to Heath Ledger Theatre is progressing and the balcony structure is being installed, whilst backstage the dressing rooms are undergoing the installation of built-in fixed furniture.

Glazing to the Bronze Box along Roe Street is ongoing and the recladding of the William Street canopy is underway. General works are continuing and external earthworks for the preparation of landscaping have commenced near The Courtyard at the James Street entrance.

Things are coming together nicely and we can’t wait to move in!
