Actors Urgently Needed for Graduating Short Film

Hi there! My name is Adam Hillman, I am a final year student at Murdoch University, producing my graduating film WIGSKIN. Synopsis : "Down-trodden Jake is forced to find a power deep within himself as he makes a final stand against the perverse brutalities of his father to protect the innocence of his younger sister. In doing so he uncovers a truth about his mother that will change everything he has ever known about family, sacrifice and most of all love." WIGSKIN will be about 20-25 minutes in duration and we have high hopes to enter international film festivals with it for exposure. We do not hide the fact that the film is violent and does have strong adult themes, however, please also be aware that my team and I will make sure that no one working on the film is exploited or subjected to anything they are not comfortable with. Parents, please also read through the script before passing it onto your children as it is strong, and also know that in the shooting of WIGSKIN shots will be blocked and shot separately from the violence/explicitness, for the child's sake. Shooting will take place in a week block from 30th April to the 6th of April 2010. With workshops starting as soon as we have secured our talent. Location is about 15 minutes from Murdoch Uni on South Street, food on set is provided. Although our budget is small, a modest payment is available to actors for their services. Character Profiles: Koko 1). Screen Age = Between 18 to 25. 2). Appearance = Small, frail form, (as flat chested as possible, but not essential), less curves the better, but this can be hidden by costume design. 3). Role Decription = Forced to be the replacement mother for the family, Koko is actually Billy's eldest son, and forced to serve him. She has had inflicted on her so much pain, that his personality, drive and life force have been destroyed. She is a shell of a person. Jake 1). Screen Age = Between 14 to 18. 2). Appearance = Smallish, skinny, straight long/short hair, the shorter (height-wise) the better. 3). Role Description = Jake is unsure of himself and too scared to stand up and face his father, who beats him and terrorised his mother and younger sister, who is the most precious thing to him in his life. It is his journey into self-assurance and his final standing up to his father, that the script focuses on. Kiana 1). Screen Age = Between 6 to 12. 2). Appearance = Small, blonde haired(preferably). 3). Role Description = She is the innocent child/soul that is caught up in this hell-hole, and every one of Jake's actions is centered around keeping her innocence, keeping her from having to be tarnished by this horrible situation.
