Hello, I have just heard about an audition that suits my age and would like to go and try out for the part, Im just not quite sure how to approach it. The details of the characters and where the audition will be held are enclosed in the blog along with the directors contact details. It says to prepare for the interview the actor must prepare a short contempory monologue and do some readings from the play. Im just curious as to how an open audition works, -Do you have to call the director or who ever is in charge of booking and ensure that you gain an audition or do you just turn up? -If I do go do i get the reading from the play when i get there or do i have to contact someone to get them in advance? -Due to me being underage do i have to be accompanied by one of my parents? -What do i need to take to an audition? Any adivice would be greatly appreciated as i dont have much experience in acting yet. thankyou :)
