Director of Quality - Back in Oz

After an extended break in the land of Blighty, I have returned to prepare for my next big project, "Quality Street." My one regret with regards to my holiday was that fact that I was not prepared to buy and blue-and-white crockery which could be used to decorate the "Blue-and-white" room that is a main feature of the play.

To be honest, I would actually prefer to Create Fake stuff rather than risk breaking was can be quite expensive items. One thought I have is to use glossy plastic plates and somehow transfer B-W decorations onto them. Then we could 'stick-them-down' to make them look a bit more weighty than they are.

Interestingly enough, I have ben offered the loan of a lovely piece from my aunt-in-law which I am using on the promotional material I am preparing as shown here. It is a lovely piece and I am dread to accidentally break it during the show.

So now I am looking at the options. Crocker is not the only thing to consider. I am looking for English Landscapes that are predominately B-W, furniture, covers, etc.

I also require a small 'piano', globe or map (1815), a veritable shopping list of items. That's before we even get into costumes. Luckily, their are the least of my concerns.

Getting the right collection of props and decorations will be an interesting challenge and one that I am both looking forward to and dreading. I've used that word a few times haven't I. Where's my thesaraus?

Anyway, I still have ample time with the show not scheduled to go up until November but there's nothing like getting ahead of the game.
