We will be work-shopping an original work with a working title of 'The Amenities'.
This play takes a light hearted, fictional look at the back story of the average suburban wedding. The play takes place in the mens and ladies rest rooms of a suburban reception centre. The characters experience the highs and lows of wedding intrigue and grappling with confrontation in their separate rest rooms until the ladies becomes backed up and unusable. The cast are then subjected to having to use the same rest rooms.
The bride and groom are never seen, as this piece focuses squarely on family and guests who add colour to that special day.
