The age-old tale of Boy-Meets-Girl and the complications which ensue intrigue every audience, and no musical puts it on stage better than ANYTHING GOES. This show is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter's magical scores. Terrific Cole Porter songs include It's De-Lovely, Friendship, I Get A Kick Out Of You, All Through The Night, Anything Goes, You're The Top, Blow, Gabrielle, Blow, Buddie Beware and Easy To Love. It's a wonder that all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted aboard the magical ship where ANYTHING GOES!
Principals:
Reno Sweeney – An evangelist turned Nightclub Singer (MAJOR LEAD)
Hope Harcourt – A Debutante (MAJOR LEAD)
Evangeline Harcourt – Her Mother
Lord Evelyn Oakleigh – a wealthy Englishman
Elisha Whitney – a tycoon
Billy Crocker – A Young man from his office (MAJOR LEAD)
Moonface Martin – a Gangster
Erma – A Moll
and many smaller parts as well as ensemble
Especially important we are looking for four young men and four young women who can sing and dance to play the ‘Nautical Quartet’ and ‘Reno’s Angels’
Auditionees should prepare a song that IS NOT FROM THE SHOW, with either sheet music or CD accompaniment.
Please also wear comfortable clothing and sensible shoes, you will be asked to move in the audition.
If you have problems making the audition times, but still want to audition, please contact the director to arrange alternate time or date
