Auditions for Melville's March 2002 production of "Stepping Out" will be held on Saturday December 15th from 2 pm onwards. Auditions will be open, but some tap dancing experience will be an advantage.
Charactes:
Mavis, 40 ex-pro dancer . This role need someone proficient in tap.
Dorothy 30-45 samll bidlike
Lynne 19, attractive, overweight
Mrs Fraser, 50 ish. Must be able to play piano
Maxine 4o's good-looking wheeler-dealer
Andy mid 30's tall, slim
Sylvia 30 short, overweight
Rose 40's (needs to be of ethnic background)
Vera 35 neat, attractive.
Above ages/descriptions are those described in script. In most cases they are negotiable. It is not necessary for all cast to be expert tappers but some previous experience will be desirable
Season March, with a possibility of a tour to two other centres in April 2002
