AUDITIONS FOR SHORT FILM
Synopsis
Our central character, a young man, is forced to confront his past and assess the effect it has had on his attitudes and actions in life. Through the impressionable eyes of a child, he has watched and experienced the way his father conducts relationships with those around him (his mother, the boy himself and the outside world). After many years apart he has chosen to return to visit his father who now lives alone in a caravan park. The visit brings the two men together and after the young man's evaluation of the influence his father has left on his life there is a very unpredictable balance in the relationship between the two men. The rapport between them demonstrates the impact that the father/son bond leaves on a child as he grows and attempts to find a place in the world.
We are looking for the following
7-11 year old male
20-25 year old male
45-70 year old male
30-40 year old woman
Auditions will be held at Curtin University on Friday the 28th September at 6.00 at the film and tv building (208) in film studio 101.
Alternate auditions may be held Tuesday the 2nd October.
